Depending on your needs, your provider may recommend one or more physical therapeutic modalities as part of your treatment plan.

Therapeutic Ultrasound:

Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound wave technology to deliver gentle energy into targeted tissues. This therapy is commonly used in physical medicine to support soft tissue healing, circulation, and mobility in areas affected by injury, inflammation, stiffness, or discomfort.

At the West Clinic, therapeutic ultrasound may be used to support muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints as part of a broader plan for pain relief, tissue recovery, and improved function.

PEMF, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy:

PEMF therapy uses pulsed electromagnetic fields to stimulate the body at a cellular level. This non-invasive therapy is often used to support circulation, cellular energy, inflammation balance, and the body’s natural repair processes.

At the West Clinic, PEMF may be recommended for patients dealing with pain, stiffness, fatigue, inflammation, injury recovery, or chronic health challenges where additional cellular support may be beneficial.

Diathermy:

Diathermy is a therapeutic modality that uses energy to create deep heat within the tissues. This deep warming effect may help relax muscles, improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and support comfort in areas of tension or irritation.

At the West Clinic, diathermy may be used to support joints, muscles, and soft tissues as part of a personalized physical therapeutics plan.

Electrical Stimulation:

Electrical stimulation uses gentle electrical currents to activate muscles, nerves, or targeted areas of the body. This therapy may be used to support muscle function, improve circulation, reduce discomfort, and encourage neuromuscular communication.

At the West Clinic, electrical stimulation may be included in care plans for patients experiencing pain, muscle weakness, nerve irritation, reduced mobility, or recovery after injury.

Laser Therapy:

Laser therapy uses focused light energy to support targeted areas of the body. This therapy is often used to help support circulation, tissue repair, inflammation balance, and comfort in muscles, joints, and soft tissues.

At the West Clinic, laser therapy may be recommended for patients dealing with pain, injury recovery, inflammation, stiffness, or areas of slow healing.

Red Light Therapy:

Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support cellular function and tissue health. This therapy is often used to support circulation, inflammation balance, skin health, tissue repair, and overall recovery.

At the West Clinic, red light therapy may be used as part of a wellness or recovery plan to help support the body’s natural healing response.
