Tana’s Journey to Health: How Relentless Determination Led to Healing
Health is something most of us take for granted — until we no longer have it. Tana’s story is one of resilience, determination, and the relentless pursuit of answers when faced with an unexplained health crisis.
A former college athlete, Tana was the picture of health. She paid close attention to her diet, energy levels, and overall wellness. But everything changed when she became ill.
“I thought I knew health before,” Tana says. “Then everything changed when I got sick.”
The Onset of Unexplained Symptoms
Tana’s health began to decline with vague but persistent symptoms: fatigue, nausea, and stomach issues. Despite her efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle, her condition worsened.
“I looked healthy on the outside, but I felt like death,” she recalls. “I kept telling myself to push through it, but deep down, I knew something was wrong.”
She visited multiple doctors, starting with her OB-GYN and a family physician. Despite numerous tests, the results consistently came back normal.
“They told me I was healthy and prescribed antidepressants, but I refused. I knew this wasn’t in my head.”
Seeking Answers and Finding Frustration
After months of fruitless appointments, a doctor finally identified elevated ANA levels, a potential marker for autoimmune diseases like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Tana was referred to a rheumatologist, but even he was unsure of her diagnosis. She was left with more questions than answers.
Desperate for clarity, Tana sought alternative approaches.
“I was skeptical about homeopathy and energy healing, but after seeing so many doctors with no results, I thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’”
Discovering the Role of Energy and Lyme Disease
Through quantum biofeedback, a type of energy work, Tana began to experience relief.
“I could feel the energy being directed to different parts of my body,” she says. “For the first time, I felt like there was light at the end of the tunnel.”
This treatment led to the discovery that she had Lyme disease. Although Tana didn’t recall a tick bite or the classic Lyme symptoms, her childhood in tick-prone areas and outdoor lifestyle made the diagnosis plausible.
Piecing It All Together
Her journey to healing involved more than energy work. Tana delved into research, connected with others living with Lyme disease, and joined a supportive community. She also realized how toxic some “healthy” foods could be and overhauled her diet.
Over three years, she made progress but faced setbacks.
“Every time I pushed myself too hard, I’d crash,” she explains.
Tana’s persistence paid off, and she was 80% better when she moved to Idaho. She continued her treatments remotely and explored every avenue, including antibiotics and emotional healing.
“I started working through past trauma and releasing negative emotions. I noticed a huge impact on my health.”
The Breast Implant Connection
Years into her health journey, a friend asked Tana about breast implant illness. This was the first she'd ever heard of it, but she felt this could be the missing piece. She learned everything she could about breast implant illness. As she put the pieces together, she realized her symptoms had started about six months after getting her saline implants.
“Everything connected when I reviewed my health timeline,” she recalls.
Six weeks later, Tana had the implants removed, including the surrounding capsule.
“I felt immediate relief,” she says. “A constant migraine I’d had for years disappeared after the surgery.”
Although recovery was challenging, Tana focused on rest and healing.
“Looking back, there’s no doubt in my mind that the implants were a major trigger.”
Life After Healing
Today, Tana is about 90% recovered. She’s back to teaching, coaching, and exercising. She manages her health by prioritizing sleep, maintaining a clean diet, and managing stress.
“I still have some lingering effects from Lyme disease and the damage it caused, but I’m so much better than I was,” she says.
Tana’s journey is a testament to the power of self-advocacy and perseverance. Her story offers hope to anyone navigating the complexities of chronic illness.
“I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I ever imagined. Every day, I wake up and choose to be the best version of myself.”
