Gina - Behind the curtain and the West Clinic (Dr J assistant)
My name is Gina, I am Dr J’s assistant here at the West Clinic. My duties in the office are to run Dr. J’s schedule efficiently and help him with whatever he needs.
I make sure all the injection rooms are stocked with syringes, needles, alcohol wipe’s, face covers, oxygen tanks, gloves, blue pads, and little fridges stocked with waters every day. I make sure every room is cleaned with the best cleaners. I make sure the consult rooms are prepped and stocked with wipes, lancets, tissue boxes, micro slides, covers, and all patient print offs that we need.
I also run the asyra’s and make sure everything is in each patient’s folders such as surveys, recent labs, intake and asyra before Dr. J comes in. I assist in making sure that every patient feels welcome and comfortable in our office. I follow Dr. J to every room and take notes on each patient.
I assist in helping with micro’s when needed. I follow up with emails and make sure everyone is getting the best possible care form Dr.J. I also take notes in lab videos and send follow up emails with recommendations and Nx schedule’s along with a copy of their labs. After that I will send them a link to their email with an invoice so they can directly order the recommended supplements.
I really enjoy my job it has been so rewarding to work in a place where our staff truly care about our patients. I’ve seen so many of our patients get better to me seeing is believing. When I first started working here, I knew nothing about Naturopathic medicine. I am so happy that I came for the interview. It has changed my life. I was surprised to see that there were so many treatments in one clinic. I have learned so much about the different supplements as well. I never took supplements until I started here. It is truly amazing.
I started off with learning the front desk, then assisting with therapies and now I’m working with Dr J. I feel like I’ve learned and accomplished so much working here. We have such an amazing team; we all work well together. We are all family here at the clinic. It’s like my second home away from home. I have enjoyed getting to know all our staff and patients.
I have seen the sickest of sickest come though our clinic in a little over a year I’ve been here, and it is mind blowing of how many patients have overcome their diagnoses. The phrase “YOU ARE NOT YOUR DIAGNOSES” has really hit home for me. This has been a life changing experience, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
